Madagascar is located within the continent of Africa. Madagascar is its own country. The people are mostly of mixed Asian and African origins. Madagascar has different ethnic groups, religions and languages. Most of the people live in rural areas with only ⅓ of the population living in towns or cities. People of Madagascar wear traditional clothes with vibrant colors. Their staple foods are rice, vegetables, meat, fish, and fruits. Madagascar is divided into 22 regions(faritra).
